Printer Supplies

Ink cartridges can cost a fortune and finding low cost ink cartridges can be difficult as seen by the number of people who search daily on line for "ink cartridges cheap price", "low cost printer cartridges" etc.

To reduce your costs consider ordering on-line.  It can be considerably cheaper than buying your cartridges from an retail office supplier.  Don't forget to check the delivery prices though!

Buying recycled catridges can also be an option - a green way to save money!

Top tips for saving on the cost of ink refills are:

  • print in "fast draft" (or whatever terminology your printer uses) if the copy is just for internal use because it can save a huge amount of ink
  • avoid printing at all if you can read the item easily on screen
  • some printers use a single cartridge for colour printing.  This can be wasteful if you are often printing documents with a large amount of one colour on it because the cartridge will need to be replaced even though only one of the three colours is empty.  Get round this problem either by choosing a printer which has three separate colour cartridges or print in grayscale (no colour) when possible.
